Your initial reaction to the fire of Penn State football Coach Joe Paterno was . . .

  1. Sadness, that all his good works and achievement were rendered unimportant by a single, monumental mistake of judgment.
  2. Outrage that coach and others allowed such atrocious acts to occur without taking strong action to stop them once they became aware of the problem.
  3. Overwhelming emptiness that the positive image of Penn State and its football program is being dragged through the mud in front of the entire nation.
  4. Bitterness that Coach Paterno is being unjustly villified when he did what he was supposed to - taking the complaint to his superiors.

I am not a football fan,nor am I a fan of Mr. Paterno but the way the board fired him & the reasons given are completely out of line! I never for the life of me thought that a business or College with any respect and manners would resort to using the tactics that Penn State College did. I also think Governor should not have had so much to say. This conduct was unforgivable!

I voted (d)because it fits closely to my opinion, after all it is an opinion poll. As for the house, has anyone ever thought that after living in that house for so long that he just wanted to make sure that Sue would have it after he goes. Does anyone consider his cancer diagnosis as a factor ? No, haters will hate and use all sorts of reasons to vilify. How about vilifying Sandusky for a change, or better yet, wait for a trial.

You fool, there is a 5 year "look back" period on whether assests could be siezed to pay for civil damages. Transferring the property now doesn't change much. Paterno is worth 10s of millions of dollars, this house (which somehow was valued over $500K) wouldn't be the biggest concern. Come back when you find his bank transactions.

This story is big enough without morons trying to dig into stories that aren't there
