First Fantasy - NFL Diary: Week 5

October 5, 2008

We kick off this week's blog, as always, with injury-related surprises. Matt Schaub is not starting for the Houston Texans, as he is replaced due to injury by Sage Rosenfels. Aaron Rodgers will be starting despite suffering a sprained shoulder and being limited in practice most of the week. I had predicted good things for Schaub against Indy this week. Looks like that won't be going down

- So much for that Rodgers injury. He just hucked a beautiful bomb 44 yards downfield, threading a needle through double-coverage to Donald Driver for a score. Literally, there's no way that ball should have been caught..Guess that shoulder's feeling a bit better, huh Aaron?

- Halftime update time! DeAngelo Williams is absolutely destroying the Kansas City defense. His fantasy opponents won't fare much better than the Chiefs, as DeAngelo rushed 14 times for 102 yards and two scores. He also caught a 25-yard score from Jake Delhomme. In the first half.
