FF Live - Done Deal in Dallas
What was speculated upon here an hour ago has come to pass, as Dallas has indeed traded for unhappy Lions WR Roy Williams and a seventh-round pick in this year's draft for a first, third, and sixth-round choice from Dallas. The Lions get a great haul in the rebuilding process while Dallas gets another weapon to help them in the interim while Tony Romo is out. All leagues can effectively drop Miles Austin now, as he drops to 4th on the Dallas depth chart. Patrick Crayton's looks will certainly drop as well, as he will be relegated to the role of slot receiver. One also has to be concerned with the roles of Marion Barber and Felix Jones, as thw Cowboys may look to become a more vertical passing offense with the addition of the flashy Williams. Jerry Jones didn't give up this kind of a haul for nothing.
In addition, this is the most a wide receiver has fetched in a trade since Deion Branch was traded for a first-round choice to Seattle in 2005.
