Crashes injure four
Four people were injured in separate crashes late last week and throughout the weekend. Patricia Ranck, 41, of Hughesville was treated at Williamsport Hospital for injuries she suffered when her motorcycle crashed at Route 220 and Roaring Run Road in Shrewsbury Township about 2:15 p.m. Sunday, state police said. It was believed that Ranck was thrown about 15 feet after her cycle struck a guardrail, rescue personnel at the scene said. Tractor overturns Robert S. Benfield, 65, of Lock Haven suffered moderate injuries when the farm tractor he was operating overturned on Carrier Road in Clinton County’s Gallagher Township about 1;15 p.m. Friday, state police said. The accident was caused by engine and brake failure, police said. Benfield was taken to Jersey Shore Hospital, but efforts to get details about his condition were unsuccessful.
