Sisters charged with filing false reports with police
MANSFIELD — Amy Jo Hults, 25, of 143 Robbins Road, Mainesburg, and her sister Jennifer K. Hults, 23, of 175 Crippen Road, Westfield, were each charged with one count each of unsworn falsification to authorities and making false reports to law enforcement. According to documents filed with District Judge James Carlson’s office, the sisters called state police on July 10 to report two men loitering and prowling around Amy Hults’ mobile home. Amy Hults has a protection from abuse order against of the men reported to have been there, Tony Knapp, according to police. In a subsequent interview, police said both women recanted their stories. They were each issued a summons to appear.
