Strangers In The World takes message to the masses
Jason Schoonmaker and Rick Lucas, both of Jersey Shore, got together one day to talk about music. They wound up forming a band that plays music with a message.
The group, Strangers In The World, formed in 2004. Since then, it has undergone some changes in personnel, but it still delivers the same message.
“We started out as an acoustic rock worship band,” Schoonmaker said. “We just kind of evolved from there. At first we had seven members and then we changed our style. We became what we are now because of what we listen to.”
Now the band has a different flavor but the same message, he said.
“Now I would say our style is kind of alternative rock,” Schoonmaker said. “We lost our first drummer, who went to college, and we picked up another who wasn’t working out.
