MANSFIELD ä Lambs Creek Sportsman's Club will hold the following shooting sports in coming weeks. Events are open to all, regardless of age or membership.
* April 27 - NRA smallbore rifle and smallbore hunting rifle silhouette match: Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the match starts at 10. The entry fee is $8 per gun ($6 for juniors). For more information, call Mark at 549-2478.
* May 10 - NRA First Steps Pistol class: New and beginner pistol shooters or those who want a refresher course can attend this course on May 10. It will emphasize firearm and range safety, knowledge of pistols and ammunition and basic shooting skills, including range time. The course will be taught by NRA-certified instructors. A registration fee of $30 applies and enrollment is limited to 12 students. Register at Cooperás Sporting Goods, Mansfield. For information, e-mail Mary at mslabey@ptd.net.
